Party Hardy for I

Just a random picture.
I wish my camera took better pictures of people. It really does not do the job. Which is why I want the Canon Rebel. You know you want to buy it for me... :D Anyone? Anyone? Oh well. We had a little birthday party for my niece yesterday, and some people dressed up in costumes and we  had cupcakes and streamers, balloons, presents, etc. Here are a couple pictures. Ha

Fire Fighter

Elmo

Haha, Leon ;)

 The treats

The birthday girl! She didn't know what to do about the candles :D

So  T helped her out

Iron Man and a Kitty Cat

Fire Man doubled as a Sailor???
My brother. And yes, that hair is real.    .     . Real fake! Haha, original, I know

My costume...I was the cupcake girl...exciting, right?

Okay okay, be prepared to laugh your head off. Haha! Oh goodness, this is a picture to look at when you're having a bad day :)

Haha!

Happy Halloween

My Guilty Pleasure and some Extra Credit

Gerber Oatmeal cereal (MUST be banana flavored) is my guilty pleasure. I enjoy it

For my AP english class, we get extra credit if we bring a treat/snack. It's pretty much the best. So, in an attempt to bring my grade from an A- to an A, I made some sugar cookies. (it worked. Pretty sure I ended this term with a 4.0! Woot!)

First, get the stuff out

Flour is the key ingredient...I know, it shocked me too.

Mix it all together...

Then put it in the freezer for 45 minutes, or the fridge for 3 hours. I chose the freezer

While the dough is cooling, make the frosting. I like Buttercream

Time to make it orange for Halloween!

Once the frosting is finished, get out the dough, roll it out, and cut out shapes (I had no pumpkin shapes...just round)
Then you cook them, put the frosting on, add some sprinkles and you have a good cookie. They were good cookies. My teacher asked for the recipe.

You can tell my Dad's a Poet...

... just by reading a bit of his writing/ blog.

a little preview...

I always have a hard time of deciding how to edit a picture and so I do multiple. Then I can't decide which looks the best. I wasn't able to access photoshop at the moment so these are two quick pictures (two of each) edited just on iPhoto. I prefer photoshop.

There is a cute tire swing, but it's really hard to see. I wish it was more noticeable...

No work Tuesdays, No pants Mondays, and No mutual Wednesdays.

I know the days are out of order in the title. It's just how I decided to write it.

Today I went to work. For work I enter information for stuff and sit at a computer and it's all lovely stuff. Hey, i get paid for it. So it's worth it. Today was my absolute favorite day of work :) The power went out. Oh darn. Looks like we will have to practice our left hand handwriting and play hangman (no politics aloud) on the white board until the lights come on. Guess what...(face gradually getting that smile of pure delight)...the power never came on.  My brother and fellow workers were bummed that they couldn't get their work done, but I was having a party in my head like 'heck yeah. best day of work ever!'

My brother and I over all dominated the hangman game. Me with 5 points I believe, brother with something like 8, and fellow co workers with 2 or 3 and then other fellow worker with 0. There was a good point in the game where it was me and my brother going back and forth from the board, getting our words or phrases correct. Go us, right?

Yesterday was Monday. 'No pants Monday' to be exact. Me and my friend Chloe started it. You can wear shorts, capris, skirts, dresses, but NO pants. Even if it's freezing cold outside and your mother tells you that you aren't aloud to leave the house until you have pants on. You just have to rebel.

Don't look! We have no pants on!

There is no mutual tomorrow. So I'm going to make sugar cookies baby! Halloween ones. And I'm going to semi decorate them. I will probably just make some cute pumpkins; enough for the people at the house to eat and then enough for my english class (we get extra credit for bringing treats :) what could be more awesome?)

My mom is staining the door. I think we are all getting high. Maybe it's just me...
