All For the Want of Ice Cream

Today I was craving an ice cream cone from Maceys. Why? They are GOOOD. And, their small is like a medium/large. It's grand. Anyway. I was trying to get my brother to come with me ( i payed if he drove). He said yes. BUT, then he decided he didn't have time. I said I would go by myself then. So I went.

I started driving and the car felt a little weird, but that was pretty normal because it's an old grandpa car (it really is, we got it from my grandparents). I ignored it.

BAD IDEA.

I was turning on the street to go to Macey's when my car started to SQUEEEEEEK. Loud. Like, really loud. I was thinking to myself "what. the. heck. This is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to me all summer. Why now?" then after that I though "And what is going on??" So I pulled over to the side of the road and called my dad, got out of the car, walked around...everything looked normal. My dad didn't know what it was either. He told me just to drive home.

driving all the way back home in that loud junkish car? still embarrassing...but alright dad, I will do it.

I continue driving and the squeeking continues (remember, it's LOUD. Like siren loud). The car in front of me must have thought I was an undercover cop or something because he PULLED OVER! Haha! Who can say they have pulled a car over with out being a police officer of any sort? I can. I just drove right past that man. No, I most definitely did NOT make eye contact with him.

In the mean time there was this guy behind me that kept looking at my car weird (I can't imagine why).

Then I stopped at a stop light and noticed the emergency brakes were on.

DUh.

I immediately took it off and waited for the light to turn green. That guy was still looking at my car weird. Then he leaned over and was looking at my car weird. I turn to my right. I see smoke coming from my car. GREEEAAATTT.

Light turns green, I drive a sec then pull over and get out. Guy still looking at my car weird as he drives by. Then looks in his rear view mirror to see if I needed assistance, but keeps going. Which is fine with me. If he would have been a strapping young lad then I might have been a bit more upset that he didn't stop.

So I called my dad and told him the problem and he said to wait 5 to 10 minutes. I did. It was hot. The AC smelt like burnt rubber.

Then I drove home.

Without my ice cream cone.

Soccer game and Charles Abouo

is that not a lovely warm up shot?
So last night me and my older bro went to a Real Salt Lake soccer game. It was pretty darn great. I am a fan of RSL, not major ( I don't have a jersey or anything), but they are my pro soccer team. I should get a jersey. I just decided that. I will let you know when that happens. Anywho. The first half was a little eh. Nothing happened much, my team wasn't playing their best, and neither was the other team. Half time came. Then it ended. Then I looked to my right and sitting down just about 10 seats down was CHARLES ABOUO. He is a BYU basketball player and I am a fan of that boy.

So then the 2nd half started up. And with in that half 4 goals were scored. The first, by Real. The second, also by Real. The third, the other team. JUST KIDDING. It was Real again. Then the fourth! Guess who. Yup. Real. And me and my brother were right behind that goal so it was even more so exciting! after one of the goals we scored
Will Johnson. A favorite of mine
After the game ended I leaned over to me brother and told him that I wanted to go get a picture with Charles. So what did we do? We went up and asked him for a picture. And got one. Need proof? Fine.

Proof.

Toddlers and Tiaras?? Seriously???

This show is..... Ridiculously ridiculous. Poor children. Horrible mothers. I think that this is a form of child abuse. WHO DOES THAT TO THEIR CHILD?! They are just bringing up thier children to be full of them selves and have them think that beauty is everything.

Who in their right mind...?

And the people who judge these things? Why would they???

Children: Stick with running around with other kids and playing in the dirt.

Parents: let your kids have a normal life.

Oh my. There is also a boy on this show. and a girl with a belly shirt. This gets worse and worse.

The Reason for this 'blog'

I really am not a good writer. Hence the reason my bloggingness has been quite minimum. When I write things it's usually
a)an assignment such as a essay/paper or some kind of lame journal for class
or
b) in my actually journal where I write all of my random things down. And that usually does not even make any sense.

So part of the reason of this blog (that no one will ever read most likely) is to work on my writing. Even though it isn't any kind of 'formal' writing. I think I'm going to be treating this as my journal should be treated. Fill with things OTHER than boys.

Honestly, my grandkids could easily get a kick out of my boy filled journal. It really is one of those pathetic things that you see on tv shows where the teenage girls just does not know what to do with the immature high school boys and day dreams for the perfect man to come into her life. That is ME, my friends. And I write all about it in my personal book keeping. (yeah, it's a little embarrassing...)

At the moment I am at my sisters house waiting for her to call me back so that I can figure out how to watch things on her Netflix. I'm planning on watching a Psych episode. Season 2. Episode 15. Black and Tan. I have heard this episode is extremely entertaining (like most Psych episodes) but I have never got around to watching it. SHAME. After I watch that, I will get around to watching the rest of season dos. This week will be spent at the tv probably. i have been deprived of a tv all summer so this will be my little "i'm just catching up" stint.

Yesterday me and my nieces and nephew did a Tangled photo shoot. HI-LAR-I-OUS. These kids know Tangled like they know themselves. I would post pictures...but...I can't.

Yum.

I haven't been to Brick Oven in a long time...5 years about...but tonight we went! My brother finished his high school schooling so we went to celebrate.

Now I admit, I have never been the biggest fan of them. They just didn't seem all that great to me. BUT. I found them very good this evening. Particularly their pepperoni pizza. VERY GOOD.

Brick Oven, I like you a little bit more
