That's all I'm asking for...

Alma 48: 11-13, 17

11 And Moroni was a astrong and a mighty man; he was a man of a perfect bunderstanding; yea, a man that did not delight in bloodshed; a man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country, and his brethren from bondage and slavery;
12 Yea, a man whose heart did swell with thanksgiving to his God, for the many privileges and blessings which he bestowed upon his people; a man who did labor exceedingly for the awelfareand safety of his people.
13 Yea, and he was a man who was firm in the faith of Christ, and he had asworn with an oath to defend his people, his rights, and his country, and his religion, even to the loss of his blood.
17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto aMoroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the bdevilwould never have power over the hearts of the children of men.

...is a man like Captain Moroni.

I'm ready to try new things.

I'm ready to meet new people.

I'm ready to have new experiences.

I'm ready for football games.

I'm ready to leave the "area".

I'm not ready to be totally poor.

I'm ready to travel far and wide.

I'm ready to go to Provo. That place that is oh so far from my home.

I've got a cool cousin

He's the master of guitar...

And could also be a model.

Yes, he's that cool

Somehow I made the picture look like it does. Honestly, I don't know how it actually happened

A perk of growing up.

Here is something I'm excited for that I will be needing for college within the next month.

A laptop :)

Then I can upload and post my pictures from events more immediately.Or when I am just sitting around and chilling at these super family get togethers, I can edit pictures.

I'm up at Little Valley Days and that's what I'm wanting to do, just so I can keep you updated in a couple day to day posts (Even though those of you that actually read this blog are up here. Ha. ). Other than a huge post a week and a half or two weeks later.

My name is Caitlin and I like to take pictures and I'm excited for my own laptop. And I need a camera case.

What if...

...the dream I had last night ends up happening to some random odd degree?

Last night I had a dream about when I moved out of the house to my apartment.

I arrived at my apartment and there were two floors and a pool in the backyard (I was excited about that). The bottom floor was mine, and the top was a group of guys. The guys came out and introduced themselves to me, one of them being an Italian with long, curly, greasy hair. He was a little creepy. There were about 10 guys that introduced themselves and all the ones that were cute were the friends and didn't live there. Darn it.

In this dream I only had 2 other roommates. I saw one and introduced myself excitedly and she was all "whatever" about it and pretty much ignored me. When I found my other roommate she did the same thing. I was not too excited about that. The good thing was I was the one who had my room to myself :)

The bathroom had no door so you had to cover the area with a shower curtain. I tried to use the bathroom and it was sooo awkward.

When I got out of the bathroom one of the moms of one of the mean roommates told me I had a roommate in my room too! They had to put someone there. So I was no longer alone. When she went to introduce my new roommate to me she forgot my name and I totally flipped out at her.

This is what I pretty much yelled as loud as I could:

Don't you dare forget my name! Everyone always forgets it and  I'm the one no one remembers so if any of you every do then I will not at all be happy. So DO NOT forget it.

The aftermath of that was awkwardness. So I left and went to go swim in our swimming pool but went to church instead.

The bed spread and pillow I brought with me were ugly too. So I wasn't happy about that either.

Missing it already

College is on it's way. I move out in just a little over a month and I'm already missing home like crazy. I can't think about it or I really will just get a little teary eyed because of sadness. And sometimes happiness. I blame it on my lack of sleep lately...it's making me more emotional than usual.

So I went around the house and took some pictures of a few of the things I will miss seeing everyday at the house. I know Provo is a hop skip and a jump away, but still...I won't be home. And I won't have a car to get there whenever I want to.

Excuse the possible cheesy-ness of this post. I can see it coming out somewhere

My porcelain dolls. I love them. I love to just look at them and (this may sound weird) figure out their personalities by there faces and clothing, hair, etc. I have given them all names, but I never remember them. The only one I know is Diane, the blue one on the top shelf. And that's because my aunt (who also collects dolls) gave her that name after my Grandmother. So it's easy to remember that one :)

My dresser with all my random stuff on it. Jewelry, bobby pins, hair clips, tickets, boxes, chap stick, and whatever  else I randomly throw on there. I've grown to love that darn dresser with broken drawers

This mirror goes along with my dresser pretty much. It's just random stuff I stick up there that I like. This mirror shows a little bit of me :)

I LOVE THIS CORNER. I love when you open the door in the afternoon and light floods in perfectly. The coloring just makes me happy. And that painting...I love it. Love love love. Basically, this is the corner of love. That sounds a little weird but oh well.

Bookshelves. They can be great and they can be just eh. This is one of those great ones. Every shelf has something different for you to look at and...I don't know how to explain the greatness of this bookshelf. It's just great.

So this I can take with me to college.....even though it's not mine. Technically it's Natalie's...I don't think she would mind if I took it with me :)   (We need an updated picture though people! SERIOUSLY. Can we do family pictures before August 22nd somehow????)

Here is another bedroom thing I'm going to miss waking up to in the morning. The movie star pictures Grandmother drew....they are amazing. They make me want to pursue my dreams of being an artist and able to draw, paint, sketch and all that jazzy stuff. (these inspire me and Nat, who just goes out on the deck and draws a master piece in an hour...and it's not even done yet. Darn you people with artistic ability)

I really like to get the mail. That's all.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Pretty much I'm going to miss my room. My bedroom of alone time and refreshing blue and random pictures and stuff. How do you get alone time in college with a roommate??? I'm super excited to have roommates, but you know, sometimes you need to be by yourself. I'll find a corner on campus somewhere. For the warm weather, I'll have an outside spot, and the cold weather and inside. I'll let you know when they are found.

He's Up to No Good

Last night around 1 am the fire alarm went off in the abode. It scared the freakin heck out of me.

Of course, this happens once the parents leave. Why would it happen otherwise? We all arose from our beds and while I stood at the top of the stairs waiting for the signal to grab your clothes and skidaddle, the others searched and smelled through the house.

No fire.

Weeeiiirrrddd.  And creepy.

We opened our windows just in case it was Carbon Dioxide or something like that, cause you never know. Right?

I know who pulled the fire alarm.

 Jack -- Our house ghost.

What if...

...the world said "I love you" more

The Fourth of July

Bethany trying to convince everyone how cool her Star Wars shirt is

The ice cream looked better in person

 Creepy Kim. That's all.

hahahahah

experimenting with the camera to get cool firework shots

I <3 U !

I O U <3 :)

this is supposed to be July 4th...i messed up

The 4th was tons of fun, with the swimming during the day, and the barbeque and fireworks at night!

The swimming was really nice. We chilled, played tag, watched people go down slides and off the diving boards. It was a good chance to catch up on my tan :) I have a nice little square tan line from the swimsuit. Super great.

The barbeque was great as well! And the homemade ice cream... That was superb. We had the usual strawberry (which is always good) and then peach. The peach... The peach... It was so dang good. Props to Alena for that.

Then it was onto the fireworks! Always enjoyable because the kids make it enjoyable. Their reactions and excitement for them makes it a lot better. Because, as we all know, fireworks are pretty much all the same these days. But Ben taught me how to shoot fireworks with letting in the light and leaving the iris open and all that fancy Jazz (thank you Ben) and so I was able to get some fun shots. Especially with the sparklers. Next week I'm going to but a ton and then write a lot of things with them and have a sparkler party! I'm stoked.

So with all that, and then mom calling everyone, one by one, during the Stadium of Fire so we could hear the Beach Boys and how amazing they were (yes...the parentals enjoyed the concert if you didn't know) and then ending the night with Robin Hood I consider it a successful 4th of July!

Family get together's are always good.
