Homecoming!

This last weekend consisted of Homecoming. The second biggest dance of the year...I think. It was a fun event.
My date told me that for our day date we would be hiking stewart falls. Perfect. No need to do make up or really get ready for it! Date picks me up and we walk the car and the girl in the front seat turned to me and said "well you look very sporty!" (I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. hiking clothes)

Thanks....? I was a little confused. (i couldn't see what she was wearing).

So we drove up to Sundance, got there, and found others in the group. Okay. Now I get why she said that. Everyone else looked cute and had their make up done! I felt a little awkward. Oh well, I survived it.

We hung out by the pond for a bit while waiting for the rest of the group. We talked, skipped rocks, and tried to catch the fish in the pond with our bare hands. Well...Austin and Sarah tried to :) Everyone else just provided the bait for the fish or cheered them on!

When the rest of the people arrived we got our tickets for the ski lift and started our way up the mountain! I had some triscuts with me, so to entertain ourselves we tried to get them onto the other seats that were empty that rode by us. Out of 20 tosses, we got 2 on! Woot!

Then the arrival at the top came. We hopped off and ran away before the seat had a chance to take us out. We were hiking for about 10 minutes (mean while we had a very epic, life threatening experience. haha! That probably made my day. I'm not going to say what happened :D), we then realized that 2 of the girls had a hair appointment at 3:30 and it would take me a long time to do my hair. So we had to start heading back. When the car that I was in got to my house, it was about 4 o'clock.

Let's get crackin!

Since I didn't even sweat and had washed my hair the day before I just washed myself off really quick so that we could start on my hair! My sister did it for me and it took about an hour and a half I believe...but it was for sure worth it! It was a huge hit in my group and at the dance. I was very flattered by how many compliments I had. It makes a girl feel good when people say she, or something she is wearing, or how her hair is, looks good. It helps make her day SUPER! At least for me it does. Anyway, going on. My other sister did my make up, and it also looked good. They had to leave before they could do my nails, so I was the one attempting to do them. Ha! The turn out wasn't so great. They could pass as decent from a distance though; so as long as someone didn't look to close I was safe.

My date then came and picked me up and we headed off to dinner at Macaroni Grill! Dinner was really fun and I very much enjoyed it (and yes, all the girls went to the bathroom to freshen up and get one of those group pictures in the mirror).

Off to the dance now! The decorations were awesome, the music was for the most part good and fun, and everyone looked so good! I let a couple guy friends, and a ton of girl friends, know how awesome they looked. But let me tell you...nothing beats a guy dressed up in nice sunday clothes. Seriously, it makes a guy 10x's more good looking. Especially when they have a nice suit that is a bit more fitted and not "boxy", or when they roll up their sleeves to just below their elbow...HOLY. COW. It's strangely A-TRAC-TIVE....I can't even describe it.

That is pretty much the low down of Homecoming. Over all, I had a fun time :) Here are a couple pictures...
the corsage (spelling?) was SO pretty!

The hair...

The whole sha-bang!
